The BlueTrace growth marketer is the lead generation machine for our seafood supply chain traceability solution. You will lead all workstreams optimizing the sales pipeline and building awareness for our product and company. BlueTrace is a growing start-up company in the seafood technology space. We’re reinventing traceability for shellfish farmers, wholesalers and dealers - and soon, for a broader seafood market. Our solutions help shellfish businesses large and small manage save time and comply with food safety regulations. High degree of comfort working in an online, remote work culture using tools like GSuite, Slack, and Zoom -- transparency and communication is critical.
Significant experience in digital marketing, particularly in lead generation and growth marketing.
You have experience with a variety of digital marketing tactics, including paid ads (Google ads and display), SEO, landing page optimization, social media, email marketing, and CRM.
You have worked in a sales environment and understand how critical it is to generate leads.
You are data-driven and understand how to measure campaign performance and optimize based on what you’ve learned.
You have a deep sense of personal responsibility and take complete ownership for the success of the campaigns you’re assigned.
You possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable authoring marketing emails and blog posts.
You are comfortable using tools like Canva (or similar) to craft display ads, social posts, or direct marketing materials, but wouldn’t call yourself a designer.
You are a hungry learner and enjoy tackling challenges that force you to discover new concepts or skills.
You are comfortable working with minimal guidance, and under conditions of uncertainty or ambiguity. You can easily adapt when a plan changes.
What you’ll do:
Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, digital campaigns and occasionally, direct mail
Develop and create ALL marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral: brochures, postcards, leave-behinds, branded apparel, SWAG, etc. (we have a product designer who can provide brand assets and guidance for printed materials as needed)
Generate leads for sales team through inbound and outbound communication channels: blog posts, thought leadership, email marketing, SEO/SEM, PR, social media
Manage and create content for all social media channels, monitor activity and provide analytics
Execute paid advertising campaigns including Google AdWords, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities
Monitor competitive landscape and provide recommendations for improvement
Draft and distribute press releases as needed
Bonus points if:
You’ve worked at a SaaS company
Have experience using Hubspot
Have experience marketing in any of these spaces: food, seafood, shellfish, supply chain
Compensation and benefits:
This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours that will be compensated using an agreed upon hourly rate.
We would work with you to craft a schedule that works for you with a high degree of flexibility provided that there’s clear communications about working and non-working hours.
